Amazing that us volleys don't get a shred of credit from a few dicks

As one who comes from an EXTENSIVE multi-generational family of "professional FF's", as well as volleys (including myself...ex-volley) - I couldn't agree more with you!!! Yeah - who the hell is going to save the ass of the "pro's" when they are off for their holidays, kid's soccer games, etc?
Then they will be more than grateful - well except for a select few...like "Igetpaid" - hmm.did anyone with his/her views ever consider that people like myself are advanced healthcare providers (CRNA) and actually have a practice to run, so can't sit around a house and wait for a hit? This is one of the reasons I left Onondaga County EMS myself (as well as volunteer FF) - it only took a few yahoo "professionals" to cry and whine about me not being "responsible" for leaving my 6 figure a year job to volunteer..Geez...be grateful that we run into situations without any compensation - except for a thnak you...on occasion - that's what the woprld is like!
Did everyone lose sight here that the Palmas have lost everything - except the most important thing..their well being? Come on! Igetpaid - you call yourself a professional? Well...you may get paid but you need a slight bit of a wake up call to what morals of a professional are! You are the type that give us all in the helping professions a bad name...
BTW, yes..I have a personal connection to the palmas..Mrs. Palma was my 6th grade teacher back in 1980 and Mr. Palma worked with my dad for many years - just glad they are OK and safe

The suspect was somewhere between 4'8" and 6'3". He had 2 arms, and was seen leaving the scene on 2 legs. The suspect was also reported to be wearing clothes. No further information is available, yet please be on the lookout for this person.. Thank you...

There are no cameras in the parking lot? This is 2008, we are led to believe there are cameras everywhere, EXCEPT the bank parking lot.
I can see how it would be a good choice for a thug to hold up people in HSBC's NO SECURITY parking lot.

Here I am cool chillin' on a Saturday Night in peaceful Syracuse thinking about hitting a couple underground parties in da' hood...until i read THIS:

Juwanda Tyler, 50, of East Fayette Street, told officers she was attacked by another woman wielding a shoe outside of 328 Shonnard St., Connellan said.

Tyler said she had been in Santy's party. After police left, Tyler got into an argument with another woman, who she did not know, Connellan said. The woman, described as 5-foot tall and 110 pounds, took off her shoe and struck Tyler in the face, Connellan said.

Tyler was being treated for a laceration below her right eye that was "consistent with being struck with a high-heeled shoe," Connellan said.
