Juwanda Tyler, 50, of East Fayette Street, told officers she was attacked by another woman wielding a shoe outside of 328 Shonnard St., Connellan said.
Tyler said she had been in Santy's party. After police left, Tyler got into an argument with another woman, who she did not know, Connellan said. The woman, described as 5-foot tall and 110 pounds, took off her shoe and struck Tyler in the face, Connellan said.
Tyler was being treated for a laceration below her right eye that was "consistent with being struck with a high-heeled shoe," Connellan said.***Compliments of the infamous Syracuse Post Standard***

Ray allegedly struck the woman in the face with a pint glass and then assaulted her with a high-heeled shoe when the victim fell to the ground, police said. The victim will be permanently scarred, the Times reported.
The defendant's husband, Mark Ray, was also charged with assault and battery after a witness saw him assault his wife at the entrance to the bar, police said.
Careful! She has a shoe!

Sole-ful crime
One lady attacked several members of another gang with her shoe after a verbal dispute got even uglier on Carlton Avenue in Brooklyn on Aug. 10.
The three victims, who reported getting cuts and bruises from the assaulter, said the argument began at the corner of Waverly Avenue and Fulton Street at 3:55 am.
The victims, aged 34–43, departed, but were followed by the other gals to Carlton Avenue between Fulton Street and Atlantic Avenue. There, the suddenly unshod woman battered the trio with a high-heel — or perhaps a pump — before fleeing with her companions.
LONDON
A man is in hospital with serious facial injuries after he was attacked with a stiletto shoe in Devon.
Sam Lewis, 24, from south London, was sitting on a bench near a nightclub in Fore Street, Sidmouth, when a man hit him with the shoe.
He was treated at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital for five fractures to his cheek and a broken nose.
He was on a cricket tour in Devon with others from the London area and had gone into Sidmouth for the evening.
A police spokesman said: "We do not know where the shoe came from but it is possible it may have been discarded by a woman customer of the club who found it uncomfortable."
The offender is described as aged about 18, 6ft (1.8m) tall, of slim build, with short brown spiky hair with blonde highlights.
He was wearing a short-sleeved white T-shirt, baggy trousers and trainers.
The assault happened at about 0300 BST on Sunday.
FORT PIERCE — Two teenage girls told police they were attacked by a group of 30 girls outside a nightclub early today and that three suspects - whom they identified as "The Rock Star Girls" - beat them with high-heel shoes, including a pair of 8-inch stilettos.
The two teens said they were at Club Crunk, 1702 Delaware Ave., at about 1:30 a.m., but they couldn't get into the club because one of the girls was only 17. They were standing in the parking lot when three girls they recognized and identified to police later as "The Rock Star Girls" and "The Cheerleaders" approached them and began kicking and punching them, they reported.
They said the three initial attackers took off their high-heeled shoes to hit them in the face, the report states.
One victim said she was struck three times in the head with a brown, 8-inch stiletto. The other victim said she was struck two times in the head with a silver, 6-inch heel. She reported that her attacker said: "I fight to kill," while hitting her with the shoe.
An officer reported that the two girls had deep cuts on their heads and faces. One girl's mother took them to the hospital after they talked to the police, according to the report. The attack case was forwarded to detectives for further investigation, the report states.
